Dance, and Modern Femininity"
Animation
inspired by Gordon Conway's drawings, Josephine Baker's dancing in the film
Princess Tam Tam, and the deco stylings of the Coolidge Corner Theater,
Brookline, MA. Music: "Black Bottom" recorded by Johnny Hamp's
Kentucky Serenaders,1926.
The Jazz Age Gaze: Looking at the Flapper Film is a creative documentary
about relations of looking in the flapper phenomenon. It's a video collage
of advertisements, clips from 1920s films, photographs, and graphics set
to popular music from the 20s.
