Spring Award Descriptions

Daniel Edge Memorial Scholarship

The Daniel Edge Memorial Scholarship Fund was established with gifts made by his friends and family as a permanently endowed fund to recognize talented and deserving students majoring in Music Engineering and Production and/or those students playing the saxophone, who are in the third or fourth year of study at Berklee College of Music.

Mix Magazine TEC Award

A fund established by MIX Magazine in recognition of continuing MP&E majors and achievement in the audio field. This award was established in response to Berklee receiving the 1985 TEC Award for best recording school. Recipient gives the college the right to notify MIX Magazine of their name and biographical information in connection with the promotion and production of future TEC Awards programs.

Christopher Yeoman Scholarship

The awards are given annually to a percussion student and/or a MP&E major who demonstrates outstanding musical talent and has maintained an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0.

NARAS Award

Awards are given to continuing or returning students in the area of Music Technology which recognize outstanding achievement in Music Production and Engineering.

Yale Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Yale Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1996 in memory of a former Berklee student, Yale Thompson, by his family, Larry, Oksana, and Tiffany Thompson. The endowed scholarship fund is a permanent endowed trust established as an unrestricted endowment account. The interest from the funds will be granted as tuition aid to recognize an outstanding Music Production and Engineering major with first preference for a student who is a returning senior student, with additional preference for a percussionist (not required.)

Joseph Baptista Memorial Scholarship

The Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund is a permanent endowed trust established in 1991 with donations from friends of Joseph Baptista. The balance of the trust will equal $10,000 or more within two years so that the interest from the fund can be granted as tuition aid to a continuing MP&E student with demonstrated financial need and academic promise.

KAO Infosystems

The scholarship will be awarded annually to an academically and financially deserving student pursuing multi-media coursework within the Music Technology Division.
